Alayna's 6th Birthday!

My Princess turned the big 6 today May 22, 2011! She really wanted a big party this go around, so Manuel and I went ahead and did it!! We let her pick the theme and Tinkerbell is what she chose! Here's how it all went down!

The invitation:
It says, Someone "Tinks" it's time you earned your fairy wings,
There will be food, games and lots of things!
Come on over you're invited to play...
as we celebrate
Alayna's 6th Birthday!

We all know I didn't make this.  I actually called up a good friend of mine Ashleigh, and she whipped it together like in 5 minutes! Isn't she amazing!! Thanks Ash!!

This is the sign that was in the front yard so that everyone would know where "Pixie Hollow" was!! (I made the Tinkerbell with my cricut!) It led to the backyard where everyone would see the decorations!

This is where the little fairy beauty salon was, where the little girls would gain there wings and tutu's! As you can see, it wasn't all done yet but I didn't take a pic of it all done.  So just use your imaginations and picture a nice table cloth with glitter make-up, a bunch of fairy wings and tutu's that I made!! FYI, the wings and tutu's were so much fun to make! You'll have to try to look at them on the pics that I got of the girls (later in the post) cause I didn't take a pic of them either.

Some more views of the decorations!

The blue balloons were supposed to replace the water that we didn't have in our pond (hehehehe) it's a long story why we don't have water in it!!

In case your wondering what this is for, it's an old little plant stand thingy mijiggy that my sister gave to me! I was trying to figure out what to do for the cupcakes that I made and I saw this sitting there and thought "oh, that would be perfect!" Whatcha think? Well, guess you gotta see it all done up huh?!

Shucks (finger snap), I should've gotten bigger fairy's so that we can see them better.  It's okay, if you really think about it, fairies are small... I think?!

Our little birthday princess!

I got the party started by starting a game with them.  We played fairy, fairy, tink. (You know, it's like duck, duck, goose), it was fun, and when it came to the few boys that I had, we just said peter pan instead of tink.  You get the gist right? Anyways, after that, I had little flower hair clips hidden all over the yard.  The girls had to go find a little flower in order to gain their wings from the fairy beautician, which was my sis-in-law Yanet.  As soon as they took the flower to her she put it in their hair and glittered them all up! Then I let them pick a set of wings and put a tutu on them! They were soooo cute!

The fairies all did up.  Aren't they beautiful?! Oh, and look at those handsome stud muffins in the back!!

So here's a little bit of a close up of the wings and tutu's that I made. This is one of my good friends little one! Isn't she adorable?!

We had a surprise visitor come, can yo guess who it was?

Tinkerbell!!

Manuel's cousin dressed up as Tinkerbell for me! She did such a good job doing it!! She's in the back of the other fairies, can ya see her? Hint, she's wearing green!!

Then we played "Pin the star on Tinkerbell's wand".  She broke he wand, and the fairies had to try to fix it!!

Grandpa Ayling and Manuel got in on the action too!

Pinata time!
Manuel for some reason can't do a party without a good ol' pinata! I have to admit though, it was a big hit! (Get it, HIT?) I know, I can be a little goofy sometimes!

First we started out with the younger ones...

...then the older ones took a swing at it!

Tinkerbell even tried it!

Awww...Samuel even gave it try!

And of course, they went nuts over the candy!

Singing Happy Birthday, and opening presents!

Alayna handing out cupcakes.

This card was from Arieanna.  It's supposed to be a birthday cake with candles, and on the back it says "a cake for Alayna Qyirstyn Medrano.  Who made this, her name is Arie Syree Medrano.  I love you Alayna."

A jewelry thing from Grandma and Grandpa Ayling!

Nintendo DS from Manuel and I! With a Rapunzel game!

Tinkerbell barbie from us too!

Dress from Grandma and Grandpa Medrano!

Okay, there are sooo many pictures and I don't want this post to get any longer than it already is.  She got a ton of gifts from more family and friends and really enjoyed everybit of it! Thanks so much to everyone who helped out and to those of you who came to the party! It made her day sooo special and we really enjoyed having all of you over!!

Happy Birthday Alayna!! We love you!

  1. Wow, Alisha--that was amazing! Happy Birthday to Alayna. She's a beautiful birthday girl. I'm sorry we didn't come! I didn't know if the invitation was like a birthday announcement or something instead of an invite, because Jay doesn't know the birthday girl.(that sounds silly now that I'm trying to explain it--bah!). Sorry we weren't there! It looks like you guys had quite the fun party! When Rose gets older, you're going to have to give me ideas of how to do a girly party because I have no clue. You're so creative!
ps this is Shaina--I think it's saying I'm anonymous for some reason

  2. Oh my goodness, Alisha you totally outdid yourself. This was the best kid's party ever! Jayden and Ryleigh are still going on and on about it. In fact, Jayden told me that she was talking with Alayna the other day and asked her if she could have her birthday party at your house next time. Thanks for inviting us and putting all the effort into everything. It was amazing!
