Snow Adventures!

That's what Arieanna wanted to call this post! Over the last few days we have been enjoying the adventurous things that we've been doing with the snow.  First we went sledding! What's sledding without inner tubes baby! Ever since I was a kid we always went sledding (or should I say tubing) on Cherry Hill.  It's the best sledding ever! So can you guess where I took my kids? What what (raising my hands to the roof)! We absolutely loved it.  The hills were like going down curvy slides and Arieanna, Alayna and I were even brave enough to go to the very top of a steep hill.  It was so funny cause when we got toward the bottom, where there was a bump, we literally flew in the air! It was AWESOME! I didn't get any pics of Cherry Hill cause I left the camera, but I did get some pics of when we went to the Dykstra Park to "tube"! (Lol, that sounds funny!)

After we were done, we were feeling kinda guilty cause we didn't take Noah:-( So we went back to Dykstra Park later on that night with Tia Yanet and Aybet to let Noah join in on the fun!

We had so much fun that we pooped ourselves out.  So we went home and munched out on a bunch of junk food and went to bed!

The next day we woke up and our poor little Sam and Noah had what people call the "croup".  So instead of going to church and freaking people out with their coughs, we played hooky and stayed home. Now I don't really think that the boys actually have the "croup", it's just that their cough always sounds bad like if they do have it.  Back when Isaiah had it, the doctor told us the best thing we could do is bundle him up and take him out in the cold and let the cold air get to his throat.  SOoooo we did just that today except we added a little twist to it.  We taught the kids a lesson then went outside cleared off the back porch and roasted some smore's while we let the cold air get to their throats!

It sure did help with their little coughs!

Next on our "Snow Adventures" list is building snow forts and having a snowball fight!

Happy Birthday Isaiah!

Our Isaiah turned 5 today! It's crazy how fast they grow huh? We did our own little thing here at the house with just US! It was actually very peaceful and he loved every bit of what he got!

Here's just for old time sake, Isaiah when he was born.

He was always our "chubby" baby!

Right here reminds me of how much Sam looks like him.

Okay, so on with how his day went...All morning long he waited for his sisters so they could go out and play in the snow.  What a treat for him on his Birthday! As they were out playing in the snow Manuel and I whipped up a yummy fajita dinner. I just love the color that the peppers give to them!

Then, he got to play with his gifts (he picked out a race car cake and wanted a remote control jeep to go with it). We also got a Basketball hoop thingy mi bobber from Manuel's boss so we got him a basketball to start practicing!

Here's the cake that he picked out.  I got it pretty dang close to what the original looks like but instead of fondant race cars we did toy ones that he could take off the cake and keep. (Smart if you ask me!) And of course my brilliant husband came up with the idea to have a helicopter hoover over it since Isaiah is into those too!

This is what the original looks like.

Overall it was a great day! Happy Birthday Isaiah we all love you!

Ringing In The New Year (2012)

Manuel and I decided that we wanted to ring in the New Year with family this year and threw a little shindig at our house! The girls and I with the help of my friend made some homemade decor to spruce it up a little.

I thought it would be cute to do a "graffiti" wall! It actually turned out to be a big hit as you can tell:)

Colleen and I  boozing it up with cream soda baby!

K.C and Katie

My Dad and Mike were getting a kick out of teasing Noah while he was sleeping.

The whole family just chillin'

The kids blowing there blow horns to ring in the New Year

We had fun spending time with family one last time before ringing in the New Year and as we did ring in the New Year with them too!

Happy New Year to all!

Merry CHRISTmas!!

Christmas was soo much fun this year.  I love the peace, joy and comfort that it brings into our home! The kids merely enjoyed all the gifts they got and the email that "Santa" sent them from the north pole.  It was a email that told them if they have been "naughty or nice" for the year and what they need to work extra hard on for the coming year.
So in the Medrano household the poor kids have to wait until daddy gets home from work to open presents but they do get to open what's in their stockings. This year, they had to wait until after church, which started at 1:00.  They didn't do too shabby though, I think it's cause they're so used to waiting on daddy.  Anyhow, I hope that your Christmas was just as special as ours!!

Christmas Eve "Ayling Style"

For Christmas Eve we always spend it with the "Ayling" side of the family! This year my clever sister Tammy came up with a "Minute to Win it" game that can keep us all occupied.  So each family who were there this year came up with their own competition like how many marshmallows you can fling through a wreath in a minute, or how high can you stack the cards in a minute, or how many big marshmallows can you stack on top of eachother in a minute, or get the cookie down to your mouth from your forehead with only using your facial muscles in a minute, or my favorite which was how long it takes to pass the orange with only using your chin and neck.  You get the gist right?! Of course, I forgot the most important thing to our gathering, my camera:-( So just imagine the loads of fun we had! Actually, my sis Tam went ahead and sent me some pics that she got! She didn't get a lot, but like I said before just imagine!

I know these next two pics just looks like nothing, but it's actually us passing the orange to eachother lol.

For some reason I could not get the date out of the pics or I couldn't edit the red eye.  Oh well:-/

All that matters is we had a good time!
